iQOO Z11 Turbo debuts with Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 7,600mAh battery

iQOO has launched the iQOO Z11 Turbo in China, further expanding its Z-series portfolio with a device that focuses squarely on performance and battery endurance. The new model sits above the Z10 Turbo and brings several near-flagship features into the upper mid-range category.

The smartphone is already on sale in China via the Vivo online store and is offered in multiple colour options, including Polar Night Black, Skylight White, Canglang Fuguang, and Halo Powder. Buyers can choose from several RAM and storage variants, with the top configuration going up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.

Performance and software experience

At the core of the iQOO Z11 Turbo is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset from Qualcomm. Built on a 3nm manufacturing process, the processor is designed to handle demanding tasks such as high-frame-rate gaming, video editing, and heavy multitasking.

The chipset is paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, which should translate into faster app launches and smoother overall performance. On the software side, the phone runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box, placing it among the early non-flagship devices to ship with the latest Android version.

Display and build quality

The iQOO Z11 Turbo features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. This setup is aimed at users who value smooth visuals, particularly during gaming and fast scrolling. HDR support and a wide colour gamut further enhance media consumption.

For durability, the device carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It also includes a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which is generally faster and more reliable than traditional optical sensors.

On the back, the iQOO Z11 Turbo houses a dual-camera system led by a 200MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation. This is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies and video calls, there is a 32MP front-facing camera.

The phone supports up to 4K video recording, making it suitable for casual content creation and social media use. While the high-resolution main camera focuses on detail, the absence of a telephoto lens means the setup prioritises simplicity over versatility.

One of the key highlights of the iQOO Z11 Turbo is its 7,600mAh battery. Paired with 100W fast charging support, the large battery is designed to offer extended usage without long charging breaks. According to iQOO, the device can deliver over 23 days of standby time, suggesting comfortable two-day usage for many users under typical conditions.

The iQOO Z11 Turbo features a slim and well-balanced design despite housing a large battery. As per official visuals, the smartphone measures 157.61mm in height and 74.42mm in width, while its 8.1mm thickness keeps the profile relatively sleek for everyday use.

The front is dominated by a flat display with a centrally placed punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, offering a modern and minimal appearance. The side profile reveals a flat-frame design with clearly positioned power and volume buttons, contributing to a sturdy in-hand feel. Overall, the dimensions suggest that the iQOO Z11 Turbo should remain comfortable to hold and use, without feeling overly bulky.

In China, the iQOO Z11 Turbo starts at CNY 2,699 for the 12GB + 256GB variant, with prices going up to CNY 3,999 for the top-end 16GB + 1TB model. As of now, there is no official confirmation regarding an India launch. The previous Z10 Turbo did not make its way to India, leaving the Z11 Turbo’s availability in the market uncertain.
